The hours of the position are 8:
30 AM to 4:
30 PM Monday through Friday (rare occasion for evening/weekend work).
The starting annual salary for the position is $53,378.

The position is the administrative part of the program where the primary responsibilities are planning, developing, and supervising mental health services to improve the quality of life for children, youth, young adults and their families.
The position supervises the Mental Health Program Specialists in the Child & Adolescent (C & A) Department, represents the C & A Department at state/local/county meetings, conferences and with managed care organizations, facilitates various meetings with service providers and agencies, participates in any grants that the C & A Department receives, investigates complaints made by consumers/parents to ensure the children and families are receiving most appropriate services, participates in the licensing process of C & A mental health program providers with OMHSAS and works closely with other BHDS directors to coordinate common goals and objectives to improve the overall mental health program.
The position requires one year as a County Mental Health Program Specialist 2 OR five years of professional level experience in the field of mental health, including three years of administrative, supervisory or consultative work; and a bachelor's degree OR any equivalent combination of experience and training.
