OVERVIEW OF POSITION Under the general direction of the Self Help Program Manager, responsibilities are to help plan, organize, coordinate and monitor district self help projects; serve as a lead for assigned projects.
Position reports to:
Facility Operations Program Manager - Self Help ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 30% Serves as Operations Specialist for District Self-Help Program.
Assists with school district review and approval of community-initiated facilities-related maintenance projects to ensure they are consistent with District standards, guidelines and policies, as well as applicable governmental regulations.
30% Oversees community-initiated Self Help capital and maintenance projects in regard to development of project, scope, budget, design, implementation and project closeout.
Ensures projects are carried out in compliance with Board policies and procedures.
25% Makes site visits as necessary to review progress and compliance with established plans.
10% Attends and/or participates in meetings and/or serves on committees; makes presentations and/or prepares materials for presentations.
5% Works with appropriate personnel to ensure district staffing at events where applicable.
OTHER FUNCTIONS:
Performs related duties consistent with the scope and intent of the position.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of:
Microsoft Outlook and Office Best practices for Landscape maintenance and design Sustainable Landscape maintenance and design Integrated Pest Management and Pesticide use Plant Identification Skills in:
Oral and written communication Customer Service Project Management Abilities to:

TYPICAL
Qualifications Education:
High School Diploma or GED PREFERRED:
Associates degree in business administration, construction management, management, or facility management.
YEARS of
Experience:
3 years of custodial or grounds experience PREFERRED:
5 years of custodial or grounds experience CLEARANCES:
Criminal justice fingerprint and background check Recommended Skills Business Administration Communication Construction Management Criminal Justice Customer Service Facility Management Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
