Accountabilities /
Responsibilities:
Ensure necessary tools and equipment are available for the provision of patient care and plant operations; Participate in planning new services; Network with vendors to ensure availability of inventory items; Collaborate with the Chief Nursing Officer and Chief Executive Officer to maintain excellent inventory control.

Meets or exceeds established annual goals.
Provide overall leadership and direction to Supply Chain/Plant Operations/Life Safety staff and contracted vendors and other resources Ensure training of staff in the operation and maintenance of plant operations equipment/systems/vendor maintenance schedules.
Facilitate operational planning including any large building maintenance and construction projects Review established preventative maintenance programs for the physical plant to ensure a continuity of operation and ensure life safety measures are upheld.
Act as alternate to Plant Operations Manager for response to emergency equipment malfunction events.
Direct actions to stabilize and document incidents appropriately.
Establish compliance with safety codes and other regulations.
Ensure the facility operates in accordance with hospital policies and complies with all authorities having jurisdiction including but not limited to PA DOH, JCAHO, OSHA, CMS Provide leadership and oversight of the Emergency Operations Plan and Emergency Management processes Partner with CNO to lead in the design and development of specific emergency plans, preparation, response and recover including management of required drills and documentation Prioritize utilization of resources while maintaining patient safety/life safety expectations.
Participates in new service planning.
Participates in unit and organizational process improvement activities.
Collaborate with the Chief Nursing Officer and Chief Executive Officer to maintain excellent inventory control; Collaborates with health care team members in a professional and respectful manner.
Responds in a timely and appropriate manner to all recall notices in collaboration with the Patient Safety Officer.
Communicates in an effective, professional, and respectful manner with patients, families, physicians, coworkers, vendors, and other members of the health care team.
Assume a visible and contributing role within the community by demonstrating ASH's commitment to the local area with charitable organizations.

Qualifications:
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree required.
LICENSURE:
None required.
Experience:
Previous experience in purchasing and/or materials management preferred.

USD $85,000.
